Hi there.

Is it possible to connect to a MySQL database? (Not using the grid, just the builder for now)

Iv been hunting about but Iv not found anything that answers the question directly (many people are using the grid).

What I need to do is to read and write data to an existing MySQL database - this is only an experimental program right now, but I'm keen to extend it since the code would then be used in another app.

Cheers

Did you mean that you want to save the Com code into mySql?

Currently, the code can be saved to a file, but cant to saved to DB. Did you try the 'advanced' Builder version?

Ah no, that's not what I wanted to do.

I would like to be able to save several fields of data that the user would type into the GUI.

So for example they would fill out several form fields and that information would then be saved to the DB when they clicked the 'Save' button. The same data would need to be retrieved as well, when the user clicks the 'Load' button.

cheers

Hi there,

You need to open those "Interact with DB " examples, and check out the backend php file.

1. Examples/comb/dbdemo/
2. Examples/comb/MySQLAdmin
